The global wind band community is invited to join a special live-streamed tribute concert in memory of Maestro Toshio Akiyama, revered as the “Father of Japanese Wind Music.”
The Maestro Akiyama Toshio Memorial Farewell Concert will be streamed live on YouTube, allowing audiences around the world to commemorate his extraordinary life, artistry, and lifelong dedication to wind music education and performance.
This memorial concert celebrates Maestro Akiyama’s profound contributions to the wind band movement in Japan and beyond. Through a thoughtfully curated programme, the performance reflects both his musical passion and the enduring legacy he leaves for future generations of musicians.
