Esplanade Concert Hall, 7.30pm

$15, Available here

In their second Limelight concert, the Dunman High School Symphonic Band (DHSSB) brings you an enjoyable mix of delightful pieces under the baton of their conductor Tan Yao Cong.

DHSSB was founded in 1967, starting off as a military brass band. Throughout the years, it has gradually transitioned into a symphonic band that focuses on both musicality and the nurturing of aspiring young musicians. The band has consistently achieved stellar results and numerous awards such as the Distinction Award for the biennial Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation for Concert Bands in recent years. DHSSB also performed in Esplanade’s Limelight in 2018.

DHSSB is excited to showcase the world premiere of Lee Jinjun’s Stellar Variations and other pieces such as Alfred Reed’s El Camino Real, Vaclav Nelhybel’s Two Symphonic Movements and musical highlights from the well-loved Studio Ghibli movie My Neighbour Totoro by Joe Hisaishi (arranged by Takashi Hoshide).

Don’t miss out on an enchanting musical journey for one evening only!

Half of the ticket proceeds will go toward supporting Esplanade’s community engagement programmes which bring the arts to at-risk youth, the elderly, people with special needs and other underserved communities.
