Directed by Head of Percussion Mark Suter, the NAFA Percussion Ensemble performs Steve Reich’s Electric Counterpoint – first recorded in 1987 by American jazz guitarist Pat Metheny – in an arrangement for solo vibraphone and mallet ensemble. The programme also features Michael Udow’s arrangement of Bill Douglas’ Rock Etude No. 7 and Lou Harrison’s The Song of Queztecoatl, among other innovative works for percussion.
