New Gen Wind Symphony was formed in November 2014, when music budded in the young hearts of 12 passionate youths, led by its Founder and current President, Mr Ethan Peck.
Motivated by founding Music Director and Conductor Emeritus, Miss Dorean Tan’s unbridled passion and enthusiasm, spurred the group’s love and passion for music which in turn, was caught on by many of their friends from other educational institutions.
What first started as a regular gathering where the like-minded played together, this group slowly developed into a community band that went on to pursue their musical passion actively.
In January 2017, New Gen Wind Symphony was officially inducted into the Taman Jurong Community Arts and Culture Club, as an official Interest Group. Under the guidance of Music Director, Mr Vincent Lee, the band aims to inspire and nurture young musicians and dedicated music lovers alike, by bringing music to the community.
New Gen Wind Symphony’s motto — Forging Friendships Through Music.
