About OBOG Wind Symphony

The OBOG Wind Symphony began in 2008 as a group of wind band alumni from various schools in Singapore.

This group grew steadily over the years to include more band members from all over the country, united by a common goal of sharing their love for music. Under the directorship of resident conductor Mr Lim Yean Hwee, the band has made its presence felt both locally and regionally, through local outreach performances as well as overseas music exchanges.

The OBOG Wind Symphony officially gained support from Yuhua Community Club in 2011 under an initiative by Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, in support of a platform for band members to further their interests. The band has been in close partnership with Yuhua CC ever since.

The band serves as a platform for current and ex-band members to continue their passion for music-making and strives to spread the joy of music to the community. It aims to serve the community and give back to society, while also providing a holistic avenue for music-making and personal development to further our musical excellence.
