nWinds presents an afternoon of evergreen hits from musical acts such as The Beatles, ABBA, Michael Jackson, Glen Miller and more!
nWinds is a performing arts society formed by a group of passionate musicians and educators who want to do their part for the Singapore band community and its students. The “n” in nWinds is drawn from the algebraic letter, which can refer to any variable. It symbolises the group’s belief in its ability to display a wide array of styles and genres with any combination of wind players.
Making its debut in 2018, nWinds was chosen to be the demonstration ensemble in masterclasses at the Singapore Band Clinic held at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. In 2019, nWinds debuted at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay with its brass, saxophone and percussion sections presenting a wide array of musical genres at Cool Classics: Band Weekend.
nWinds also collaborated with the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in June 2019, holding a successful project that housed over 100 students from all over Southeast Asia, promoting the art of playing a wind instrument.
