Not A Clarinet Choir is a mosaic; a collective of clarinetists from different backgrounds.

As a new group, we aim to explore the possibilities and push the boundaries of clarinet music, with a keen ear for detail, and an open mind for collaboration.

We will be presenting some familiar tunes such as Czárdás and Scarborough Fair, as well as a few clarinet ensemble favourites like A Miniature Town and A Picture Book without a Picture. Our highlight piece will be Lincolnshire Posy, a classic from the wind band literature, arranged for clarinet choir.

Going forward, we hope to push the envelope of what a clarinet choir can sound like, and pursue collaborations to present novel experiences while maintaining a high level of music-making.

Programme:
Czárdás – Vittorio Monti (arr. Kazuhiro Morita)
Clarinet Buskers – Akira Toda
Clarinet Dances – Yosuke Fukuda
Pater Noster – Satoshi Yagisawa
A Miniature Town – Rika Ishige
Scarborough Fair – Trad. English (arr. Hirokazu Fukushima)
Paganiniana – Béla Kovács
Lincolnshire Posy – Percy Grainger (arr. Matt Johnston)
Picture Book Without a Picture – Masanori Taruya
