Conn-Selmer, Inc. is extremely pleased to announce the addition of Markus Theinert to the company effective August 24th as the Vice President-Marketing reporting to John Stoner, President.
As VP-Marketing, Markus will work with the leadership team and category managers in developing and implementing strategic product and marketing initiatives to meet the needs of our customers, educators and players.
Markus is a music industry veteran with more than two decades of sales, marketing, and management experience. He goes to Conn-Selmer after spending over 23 years with Miraphone Instruments, headquartered in Germany, where he has held the positions of Marketing Consultant, Director of Global Sales, and then President/CEO. During his tenure with Miraphone, he achieved significant growth in revenue, market share, client loyalty and financial stability. In addition, he has spent many years as a Musical Director, Consultant, and Conductor for various orchestras throughout Europe, as well as Japan, Mexico, and the United States.
Markus graduated summa cum laude with his Master’s degree in Music from the University for the Arts in Berlin, with a primary focus in tuba and conducting, as well as, trombone, piano, church organ and double bass.
