Yamaha today introduced two new Custom clarinets at the 2015 NAMM Show, the YCL-CSVR (B-flat) and YCL-CSVRA (A). Improved features on the new CSVR clarinets provide the warm sound quality and playability required by progressing and professional players to effortlessly transform ideas into music. Clarinetists are now able to demand a higher standard in their instrument choices than ever before.

The Custom CSVR model combines several enhancements to create an instrument capable of consistently delivering rich, dark tones. Redesigned keys with thicker silver plating enhance sound quality and allow for comfortable, ergonomic hand positioning. A reconfigured bell and barrel promotes well-balanced response and improved air flow. Durable leather pads provide an improved seal for smoother playing response.

“The Yamaha Custom CSVR clarinets deliver a high level of consistency and reliability that customers demand,” said Brian Petterson, marketing manager, Wind Instruments, Yamaha Corporation of America. “During multiple product testing sessions, these new instruments exceeded the expectations of professional clarinet educators for tone, response and intonation.”
